I: 7107 Islands, 7107 Wonders
The Philippines is an archipelagic country comprising of 7,107 islands of different sizes and shapes.
You may ask, "How did they came up with that number?!" Did they literally hopped from one island to the next counting and marking the islands from number 1 until 7,107? Nah, they cant literally island-hop but they made a rough estimate. The American did that back then. Why the number? I dont know. Maybe because they thought 7 was a lucky number!
Of the 7107 islands, only about 2000 islands are inhabited. The islands are divided in 3 major groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Of the three, Luzon is the largest, followed by Mindanao and lastly Visayas.
